[SOLVED] Wrong UPS status on UNRAID

Hello everyone ,

unraid keep showing "On battery" status but actually my UPS is online , 

this casue unraid always shut-down .

 

I put my UPS on the windows , it's working fine , but just has this problem on unraid , and i cannot found any solution on google and unraid forums .

hope i can get help here and thank you very much .

but when i use windows 10 and Synology system , UPS report online as normal , just report on battery on unraid .

 

and I found something news , when the battery is 100% charge , UPS status show "on battery ", but below 100% charge , UPS status show "online" ,

i am so confuse about it .

Yes,I have try each options,just usb type is work,but still show on battery status

I found when the BCHARGE reach 100% , the UPS status wil change to "ON Battery".

I turn off the power , and wait the BCHARGE down to 99% , then turn on the power . 

the UPS status will become "ONLINE" again , but will change back to "ON battery" status once the BCHARGE reach 100% ..

You may try perform battery capacity calibration may fix this false fault at UPS side.

 

If battery capacity have reduce to an abnormal level, this will cause strange problem. I notice the record battery date was 2001-01-01, this impossible that battery can last that long. Few days ago, I replace the fault battery which serve me since 2015.

 

Besides, 13.6v battery may not the design full charge voltage but it exceed the design charge timer, so UPS wrongly think it is ONBAT.

but just buy this UPS day before yesterday , the battery should be good .

and now i have reached APC engineers ， sent the details to them , and waitting for their replys . .

I can pretty much guarantee they are going to say use Windows, we don't support 3rd party software monitoring solutions. (apcupsd)

 

I suggest to try using NUT instead of apcupsd and see if that works any better.

Woo. Wonderful NUT , i installed this plugin , it discern the UPS status correctly .

Hello, I am using the same type of UPS (BK650M2-CH) and cannot use the inner-built UPS Setting, can you share the setting of the NUT because I am quite a newbie and do not know how to fill in all these values...

 

Update: 

Sorry for the bothering, initially the NUT could not auto detect my UPS. I reinstalled the plugin and I could directly auto detect all the settings. Everything works like a charm! Thank for this powerful plugin.
