aidan8181 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) Hi, I've been running a Windows VM for a year or so now. I was using sound through usb passthrough without any issues in this time, however circumstances have changed and I now need to use sound through HDMI on my GPU passthrough. Simple I'll just make sure my sound from my GPU is passthrough and boom I should be good. This didn't go to plan. I checked all that I could think of including going as far as reapplying the MSI Utility from github. No luck I then decided to have a look at the VM template, tried lots of different combinations of things removing/adding, restarting etc. Still no luck. I then fired up a clean VM just to make sure there was nothing funny in my setup. I applied the MSI Utility and still no sound. Any way here are some screenshots that show my setup currently in my new VM with only MSI utility applied. If anyone could help me that would be great. I Have an Asus GTX 980, running a i7 4770 on a gigabyte Z87x-UD3H mobo If there is anything else at all I can provide to help please let me know. Thanks ps long time user. I just gotta say Unraid is a great system. I love it!! Edited May 9, 2020 by aidan8181 Quote
