I have some nfs mounts and on the dashboard, only some of them show the used space correctly. I have a suspicion it might have to do with spaces in mount names. Notice how in the attached screenshot, the ones without spaces show correctly and the ones with spaces don't?

It's possible that the spaces are causing an issue.  I thought the naming of mount points did not allow spaces.  For the moment, don't use spaces in the mount point name.  When I get some time I can look into it further.

Hi, I recently changed the security on my windows shares. Previously everyone had read/write/etc access and I was able to mount my shares in unraid without issue using this plugin

I've created a single user that has write access to these shares now.

domain\user

I cannot mount my share using the following info

IP/Host: 192.168.1.60

Username: domain\user

Password : password

Share: R

I ran into a similar issue using cifs in ubuntu and I had to specify domain=domain in the command or credentials file.

Is there a way to do a domain=xxx in this plugin without using the command line?

image.png.82eb3e5544d07ce87dbb247f8a8dca6b.png

clicking mount on the R share refreshes the page, but yields the same results

logs:

Jun 1 10:29:23 Tower unassigned.devices: Mount of '//192.168.1.60/R' failed. Error message: mount error(13): Permission denied Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
Jun 1 10:34:40 Tower unassigned.devices: Mount SMB share '//192.168.1.60/R' using SMB1 protocol.

Thanks!

I might be able to provide some assistance if you posted diagnostics.  As I've said many times, a log snippet is fairly useless.

Fixed in the next release.  This same issue also showed up on samba and iso shares.

I cant see anything but I wanted to check to make sure since this is such a  long thread. I am in the process of migrating to XFS and I have found that one RFS disk that will mount happily with unraid wont mount at all with UD.

dmesg shows

[Tue Jun 19 15:40:36 2018] REISERFS warning (device sdc1): sh-2021 reiserfs_fill_super: can not find reiserfs on sdc1

so before I get into this are there any know relevant issues?

Update: well it turns out its pretty obvious why UD cant mount this reiser disk.... thats because it is xfs.

# file -sL /dev/sdc*
/dev/sdc: DOS/MBR boot sector; partition 1 : ID=0xee, start-CHS (0x0,0,2), end-CHS (0x3ff,255,63), startsector 1, 4294967295 sectors, extended partition table (last)
/dev/sdc1: SGI XFS filesystem data (blksz 4096, inosz 512, v2 dirs)

any ideas why UD is trying to mount a XFS disks as ResierFS?

Hi All,

Really sorry if this has been covered but there is just so much about this plugin that i'm struggling to find what i need

I'm testing something for backups so i have attached an old usb cradle to my machine. This cradle accepts 2 HDD's and shows them as a JBOD to the host.

Unassigned devices detects them as in the attached screen shot.

Problem is, if i try and change the mount point names (as right now it would try and mount them both in the same place), it changes the path of both devices.

Checking the config is adds this:

[ICY_BOX_IB-3620_PROLIFICMP000000B86]
mountpoint.1 = "/mnt/disks/ICY_BOX_ICY_BOX_IB-362"

So i can't actually give them separate names as its linking to the main device names. Does anyone know how to fix this issue or work around it?

I'm trying to use rsync and want to keep the permissions hence using xfs

Regards,

Jamie

Hi All,

I have an issue wuth this plugin

I have 2 UNRaid servers

(SA) - i use for my VM And Docker

ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. - RAMPAGE V EXTREME

Intel® Core™ i7-5960X CPU @ 3.00GHz

64 GB (max. installable capacity 512 GB)

(SB) I use for media storage

HP ProLiant DL320s

intel xeon

4GB Ram

I can mount a shares from (SB) to (SA) Without any issues, but if i go to click on the mounted share all i get is a loading icon and unassigned drives hangs ...  if i do this in reverse it works ok

any ideas ?

Anybody able to point me to some tips for mounting an SMB volume shared by a Mac with UD?  I'm not having much luck and must be missing something silly...

Thanks!

Shouldn't be too hard. I just Select the protocol and use the Search Workgroup button, but entering the IP of the Mac also works.

SafariScreenSnapz106.jpg.438d8f2272efa9dc06174882adfbd332.jpg

Then enter your username and password. Clicking Load Shares will give you a pull down list of shares available.

Thanks wgstarks - I'm doing all that, but when I click load shares nothing happens - the button clicks and does something really quick, then returns to normal and there's no list of shares. I've tried manually entering the share name in the share: field, but that doesn't seem to work either.  Is there a specific syntax I need to be following or is the only way this works if it shows a list of shares?

Is there a way to see the logs for UD for when I try to add a remote share? (sorry very new to unRAID and just starting to get everything figured out!)

Thanks!

I for the life of me can't get UD to mount or connect to a SMB network share on my network, I hit "Search servers in WORKGROUP" select the system the share is on, go down and put in the username and password and hit "Load Share" but nothing ever happens.

I can access the share on other systems in the house, Any Ideas?

So update.....

I made a new user account on the system I'm working with and gave it admin rights, went to the folder I was wanting to share in Windows and added that new user, gave it full read write access to said folder and now it works..... the button still doesn't show the folders on the system tho.

hello

i have tried to powerdown USB enclosure with seagate in it

UNRAID sees the drive a very short time, even the partition in the UD interface, but strangely disappears few seconds later...

Hi,

I'm sorry I tried to look for an answer but no luck, I want to use my old hdd as a scrap drive, it formatted ok, I can mount it but there is no way to rename, I don't have "+" icon or all red-X to delete partition described on the front page at all. I'm I doing something wrong? It's not there when the drive is unmounted/mounted/array started/not started. It works but has a very long name I would rather change.

Unmount the drive first.

The unassigned devices plugin keeps crashing (disappearing) on my unraid machine. A reboot fixes the issue however this is obviously annoying to keep doing. It seems to be linked to heavy disk activity on the disk (ie sabNZB etc) but could just be a coincidence.

Attached are my diagnostics, I'd be very grateful if someone could take a look and offer any insight.

It goes on and on.  I would start by solving the disk issues.

Many thanks for the response ... other than the last block they're not associated to the unassigned devices plugin. Is it worth starting a new thread as I've no idea where to begin with these errors?

They don't have to be associated with the UD plugin to cause issues.  Yes, start a new thread and get help sorting it all out.

I broke it....!

many of the drives are passed through to a vm which is then using them in a JBOD pool. After a reboot I got this:

Now, that looks like nothing is mounted or formatted, but if you look at the vm:

And the vm is operating normally.

I had to reboot because I was creating the cluster (which unassigned also connects to via smb so I can have a backup location as 1 big disk) and when the server connection went off line to the vm. Unassigned devices started throwing errors in the log about the remote server being offline and everything on the main server hung. After waiting 10 minutes, I attempted to shut down via GUI, 5 minutes later I pressed the power button on the server. Five minutes after that I had to hard reset.

When I initially setup the jbod pool as a test with 2 disks, it reported the 2 drives as being part of a linux array or something. When I added the other 4, that's when it freaked out.
