Oct 20 14:14:49 Remote SMB mount '//10.0.0.120/500GB-2.5' is not set to auto mount and will not be mounted...

I try to mount the above problematic samba share and there is nothing logged, the web gui hangs and I have to reboot unraid.

After rebooting I clicked the log icon and has the following info

It added information in log file when I rebooted unraid. For almost half an hour web gui was not responsive. Isn't there any timeout value ?

Close your old browser windows. There is a FAQ for wrong csrf_tokens.

Yep, that was it..  Thank you so much!

Does UD no longer support NTFS format? In the past I would take my backup hard drives out of the safe and plug it into unRAID via USB and then copy all the new content to the backup hard drives. I tired to do this today and got the following errors. I can plug them into a Windows computer and it reads the drive just fine. I am running 6.4.0-rc9f and UD version 2017.10.07

How do I check the file system with UD? I wonder if the issue is the USB enclosure... I got a new error message.

It appears that you have a cable/USB port/Enclosure issue and not a file system problem.

Update UD and see if it makes a difference.

I am attempting to set up an nfs share on a windows VM that unraid can mount via unassigned devices. Using FreeNFS on win10 as the server. The folder on windows is something like c:/mnt/user/r5000, and the VM's IP is 192.168.1.138

What is the exact syntax I should put into the Nfs configuration within UD?

Hello

Firstly, thanks for UD, it's been very useful.

I can't seem to mount an SMB share on a separate ubuntu machine. I can access (r/w) the share on a separate windows machine so I believe it's shared properly. UD finds the server and the share in the add dialog, and appears to mount (green icon) but the mount point doesn't appear (/mnt/disks/SERVER_share) and the size, used and free figures aren't showing up.

Any ideas? How can I get UD logs?

Thanks.

Click on 'Add Remote SMB/NFS Share'.  Let UD find the server (Click 'Search for servers in local network' and select the server) and the NFS share (Click 'Load Shares' and select the share).  It will set up the proper syntax.

If the 'Unmount' button does not show, then the share is not mounting.  It sounds like you have a credential issue.  The UD log is available on the webpage using the icons in the upper right of the webpage.  Hover your mouse over the icons and it will show a tool tip of the operation when the icon is clicked.

If you still have trouble, post a screen shot of the SMB mount on the UD webpage.

Aha, thank you! I don't know how I managed to miss that log icon! This is what I get:

Oct 25 21:19:29 Mount of '//SERVER/share' failed. Error message: sh: 83oW: command not found

Any ideas?

Nothing in the syslog at all.

When I select NFS from the dropdown, it only asks me for IP/Host and Share.  There is no button for it to search for servers like there is for SMB. If I type in the IP, searching for the share never finds anything.

There is a good chance it's not actually being shared even though FreeNFS on the VM looks to be working and is cleared through the firewall. Any other way i could verify?

This is what I see when I choose NFS.  Click on the 'Search for servers in local network' button to find NFS servers and the 'Load Shares' button to show the shares.

If you don't see this, then update UD.

Plugin showed a date of 10/7, so I uninstalled/reinstalled and it is now 10/22, but still looks like the below.  This is via chrome and edge on a standalone win10 computer (not the VM)

Try clearing the browser cache.

If that does not let the check for servers button show, the nmap package is not installing.  Please attach your diagnostics.

Regardless, entering the IP address and then clicking the 'Load Shares' button should show the NFS shares on that server.  If not, then your NFS share does not appear to be available.

The nmap package must be installed before the 'Check for servers on the local network' button will show.  The nmap package does not install on any version before 6.4.  I've been using 6.4 so long, I forgot that the nmap package won't load on a previous version.

You just need to enter the IP address and then click the 'Load Shares' for the NFS shares to show.

Same here, no impact from clearing cache
