ShadowCVL Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Hello fine helpful folks! I am awaiting a new server that should consolidate almost all of my network of support devices and such down to just 2 servers (and a backup nas) and my network gear. So my network is currently laid out like so Default VLAN (1) - 10.10.0.0/21 Kids/IOT (2) - 192.168.0.0/24 VPNOUT (3) - 192.168.1.0/24 (I need to condense this to just 2 IPs but have been lazy) ANON (4) - 192.168.2.0/24 (This is the other side of vlan 3) My router is 10.10.0.1 and serves most of my general clients I have a separate physical PFsense box sitting with its WAN on vlan 3, lan on vlan 4. It also has an ip on the 10.10.0.200 to serve as a quick gateway if I dont want to hop vlans for a client device. I tried virtual and never could get above 30megabit for some reason. I have SAB, Radarr, and Sonarr running on a physical box, using the PIA client (this is the driving issue i need assistance with) There is a Pihole on all of the vlans, each filtering slightly differently There are many other VMs and such running that can all talk on Vlan 1 (libre, homebridge, etc.) There are a Plex physical server (p2000) and freepbx physical server So what I am wanting to do with unraid, is essentially consolidate everything down to the unraid server and the pfsense box. The unraid server has 24 cores/48 threads and 128gb of ram, it will have 2 10 gig cards added to it as well as the p2000 card for plex. Now here is where I am not finding enough info or am finding conflicting info. The unraid server would reside on vlan 1, probably 10.10.1.100 if I were guessing (servers sit in the .1 octet) I would like to run sab, sonarr, radarr in docker containers (but can go with VMs if thats better) that sit on vlan 1 but use the .200 gateway, so that they can easily be accessed for website guis (there are firewall rules blocking most traffic intra-vlan) How can I accomplish this? I have VMs that run on most of the vlans How do I accomplish this? Does Unraid support VLAN tagging (or rather untagging depending on traffic direction) at the vnic level? I am planning to run Plex in a docker if possible, with the p2000 passed to it, and its metadata on an unassigned ssd, transcoding to ram if possible Is this possible? I would like to run the VMs on their own SSD for the OS drives Is that possible? For additional data to the VMs is symlinks to the array or a virtual disk file on the array the preferred method? Sorry for all the questions, I really dont want to have to add a quad port nic or 2 and would rather just run off 2 10 gig links, 1 if possible. Thanks! Quote
