Setting UID for an user

Hello!, 

 

Is there any caveat in changing the UID for an user (editing /etc/passwd + chown of its files)?, I need to make it match a UID on NFS client. Can that break something at the web administration layer or any convention (UID must be higher than ###) ?

    Well, I can confirm the UID keeps going back to the default one. Have to fix it from time to time...

     

    Just changed it at /boot/config/passwd, hope that fixes it.
