bs3dp Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Hey guys, first time posting here but long time browser of the forum. I've been running into this issue with Unraid the last week or so. My server setup was my Unraid server acting as a media NAS and VM and Docker host for a few apps that manage my media. I then had Plex running on my old gaming laptop as it had a better CPU and a GPU for hardware transcoding. Fast forward to about a week ago and finally my new CPU showed up for my Unraid box, upgrading from a i5 3570k to a Xeon E3-1245v3, I ensured my motherboard supported it and it does. I've had my old GTX960 in the Unraid box for a while as it was just sitting around not doing anything and when I put it in is when I found out I needed a CPU that support IOMMU. Now with everything setup and running with the new CPU and GPU, everything's running just fine, no issues on boot, everything just works like it did before. With now setting up a Plex VM and getting that configured the same as my old server and moving my Plex server details over, passing though the GPU, everything works just fine... for a while. Transcoding works just as it did before with less buffering now as my old laptop wasn't really up to the transcoding job. Only issue i run into now is after a hour or so or sometimes 10+ hours the server completely crashes, no logs no info as to why, everything just crashes and i have to hard reset the system using the power button. Some info about my server: CPU: Xeon E3-1245v3 RAM: 16gb DDR3 MB: Asus P8Z77-V LX HBA: LSI 9211-8i GPU: GTX 960 I've also attached my diagnostics file if anyone wants to have a look. I've tried having the syslog copied to the USB and look at it but i get 0 info from it at the time of crash. I also tried keeping a ssh terminal open watching the log to see if it was getting a error before it crashed and wasn't able to copy the log file but same output, no info about the crash. Maybe there's some log I'm missing or something you guys think i could do. tower-diagnostics-20200518-1106.zip Quote
