br0 does not want to play

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Due some issues with a Rust Docker I want to give it its own IP, however  I only have "None", "Bridge" or "Host" in the network selection.

Under docker:

Should I enable DHCP pool? If so what class so I give it? (Never could work out sub class range) My IP as you can see is 192.168.1.0/24

Under Network:

What am I doing wrong/missing?

Thanks

Paul

Paul, I feel your pain...this was one of my major complaints of a rather awesome new system that any nerd like me would never switch from...something like setting a static IP was not super well covered or at least explainmed in the same type of language when using the help button (?)

I have 7 individual NICs. 2 on the server, 1 remote access and a quad port in my pci slot...and if i somehow managed to assign pretty much what i planned for, i still have no clue if it actually is how to do it, or a disaster in the making.

I'd love to give you an answer but i will provide you with my mess that actually allows me to assign a IP to a new docker even if it all seems to be from the same nic. Once it starts to move around my network and show up on my Unifi controller i just go and make sure i can also give it a more static IP on that higher level
