May 19, 20206 yr Author or would i be better off using a no raid unit like this one https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Hard-Drives-&-SSDs/Enclosures/38789-HF2-SU3S2?gclid=CjwKCAjw5Ij2BRBdEiwA0Frc9QMO1NqP3rxg_etkQ5OFz7UObHpvQV16DDgwuTX4KBsI8RU574tAIBoCAXYQAvD_BwE hope im in the right direction Taza
May 19, 20206 yr Link isn't working but assuming it's a multiple disk enclosure running from a single eSata port it's not recommended, both for performance and reliability, since it will use a Sata port multiplier, if you really need external look for a SAS enclosure.

May 20, 20206 yr You'd be better served with a proper HBA. I used a stack of those enclosures before moving to unraid, performance is terrible if more than one disk is being accessed
