Sergy Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 (edited) Hello I need advice from the wisest of this community. Currently I have a Server with a Supermico motherboard X11SSM-F with a processor XEON E3 1230 v6 4c and 32 GB of RAM, currently I have it with VMware v7 and everything is fine, but I see that it falls short. Now I have installed unRAID in the VMWARE and it is a bit slow sometimes! I am looking at an HP Server, that for just over $ 1000 you have one with a processing of 12c and 64Gb of RAM. What worries me is the noise, since I live in an apartment and I have no place where I can locate it so that it is isolated. Any recommendation?? Do you think that HP or DELL is a good choice? Why the noise issue? Edited May 23, 2020 by Sergy Quote
