Connecting to a Ubuntu VM through PC on network

Featured Replies

How do I setup the an Ubuntu VM to accept connections on my local network.  i have some services running and want to access their services through a Web Browser on my pc?

Make sure the VM is bridged to your network and not just bridged to Unraid's internal NAT network. Don't use virbr0.

Your VM should be able to get an IP from your router's DHCP and act just like a physical machine plugged in to your switch.

It's default setting was br0.  It gets it's own IP and still no connection.

yes

If the VM has a proper address from the router, and browses the internet perfectly fine, then the solution has to be in the Ubuntu firewall. Nothing to do with Unraid.
