[SOLVED] migrating unraid server to a new motherboard - old network card mac

Featured Replies

I just upgraded my motherboard and setup and my router still sees my old server mac address.

when I look at /boot/config/network.cfg

# Generated settings:

USE_DHCP=no

IPADDR=192.168.1.2

NETMASK=255.255.0.0

GATEWAY=192.168.1.1

HWADDR=00:19:66:44:8E:BB

DHCP_KEEPRESOLV=no

DNS_SERVER1=192.168.1.1

DNS_SERVER2=69.28.239.8

DNS_SERVER3=74.116.184.9

the old mac address of my previous motherboard is listed can I just remove the line and at the next reboot it will append the new info?

Delete everything after the "=" sign and you should be good.

Or, delete the whole line.
