dual cache drive replacement

Featured Replies

I have dual cache drives. Raid 1 from what I have read. (I have not changed any settings).

Can i pull drive 2 and just replace it with a new one? Or do I still need to move everything off the drives?

Depends. There was a bug in some versions of Unraid that didn't set the RAID level properly, causing the drives not to be fully redundant. If you search the forum johnnie.black has some posts on verifying and fixing it.

Safest option would be to back things up before attempting a drive replacement.

Ok, I will backup indeed. I am on the latest version if that matters.
