May 26, 20206 yr I have a problem with some folders from Windows. I get a message when I try to delete a folder: You need permission from TOWER/nobody to make changes to this file Can someone help me?
May 26, 20206 yr Community Expert Have you run the New Permissions script in the Tools menu? Be sure that you carefully read the instructions before running if you have a share called appdata!!! If that doesnot fix it, you are going to have to provide a bit more information. First, the Diagnostics file Tools >>> Diagnostics Next, tell us about the share. What is the security that you have on it (Public, Secure, Private?) Do you have second computer to see if it has the same problem? Also, put all new information in a new post. IF you just add it to an existing post, the forum will never be updated to show that you have responded.
August 8, 20205 yr New Permissions did the trick for me (vrs 6.8.3). One issue I had was the client computer going to sleep during the New Permission process. Is there a way to do this from unRaid command line? Thanks for the fix!
