Changing allocation method when one has been set already?

I set my allocation method to 'high-water'. I think I want to change that on my user shares to 'most-free'. Can I just goto the webgui and change the allocation method and then hit apply? Does it need a restart after that or anything?

    Just hit 'Apply' - changes take effect immediately.
