Hello,

I am about to setup my array on a fresh install.  Is there anyway I can plug in my external hard disk to copy my data to the array?

    You can use the Unassigned Devices plugin if the drive is formatted with one of the supported filesystems.

    How do I copy the files though from this drive to one of the drives from the array? I can mount it under the Unassigned devices and view the contents but how do I transfer files?

    You can use for example Midnight Commander (mc in the console)
