2nd UnRAID Server Questions

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have a few questions before I decide on what OS I will use for my 2nd UnRAID server, currently I have 16 static IP's and I am doing wanting web-hosting from home because one I have a 1GB Fiber connection, that speedtests show its usually around 1200/1400 and instead of paying for a dedicated box I would like to use this to host my websites, they are not big. Could I do this in UnRAID under a VM of CentOS 7 with dedicated space for it? I bought the Fractal 7 Design XL, I have a Ryzen 1800X with 32gb DDR 2933 and for data storage 1x2tb (sshd), mix of 6-10tb drives + 5 14tb drives. (DataHoarder) Or should I just install CentOS 7, and run that. I do have multiple websites & domains, so I would need a control panel for them. I have a cPanel License Key I can use.

Any help appreciated.

Make a VM of CentOS in UnRAID or just use CentOS 7? It'll save me money on hosting as the sites do not require a lot of RAM or space.
