Using UNRAID to diagnose internet connectivity issue?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I've been using Unraid for a couple of months now, and I'm loving it.  This is my first forum post, and its a request for ideas about how to use Unraid to solve a problem.  Unraid itself is working perfectly, and I have no problems with it.

So, every now and again, maybe once per day, all the devices in my house lose internet connectivity for a minute or so.  I'm suspecting my ISP has a problem, but can anybody suggest how I could use Unraid to help diagnose where the problem actually is?  I'm thinking maybe about a periodic traceroute with results logged, or something along those lines?  Or maybe there's a suitable plugin or docker already?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

My network topology is phone line into the house -> modem -> router > various switches and wireless APs > PCs and phones and Unraid server.

Thanks!

David
