nraygun Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 I'm on 6.8.3 and I see that my system did a parity check on 5/29 then again on 6/1. Both finished with no errors and they both took about the same time (18-19 hours or so). My system usually does a parity check on the first of the month. Not sure why it did the extra one a few days earlier. Where can I find why it did these so close to each other? Quote
JorgeB Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 Other then the schedule one a parity check is done after any unclean shutdown. Quote
nraygun Posted June 2, 2020 Author Posted June 2, 2020 Thanks Johnnie. I don't think there's been an unclean shutdown of my system recently. I have my machine on a UPS and I haven't shut it down recently. Are unclean shutdowns logged somewhere that I can check? Quote

nraygun Posted June 2, 2020 Author Posted June 2, 2020 I looked at the log in the upper right corner of the Dashboard view and I don't see that message. Any other areas to look? Quote
JorgeB Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 You need o check the complete syslog (tools -> syslog) or post it. Quote
nraygun Posted June 2, 2020 Author Posted June 2, 2020 Found it! May 29 02:58:14 flores emhttpd: unclean shutdown detected Looks like it had just finished updating plugins before this message. Is it possible for a plugin to cause an unclean shutdown? Quote
JorgeB Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 Possible but unlikely, at least with most plugins. Quote
