Yank0500 Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 New to the unRaid community and trying to evaluate unRaid for my own uses, however I'm bashing my head against the wall trying to figure out why I can't assign any drives to my array. When I click on the drop down for either parity or disk assignments I can see all of my drives visible. As soon as I click one though the page refreshes, and the slot remains blank. Is there some sort of first time setup I missed? Currently on the trial version of unRaid if that makes a difference. I've also attached my logs to help in the diagnostics. I appreciate your help in advance on trying to get this setup asgard-diagnostics-20200603-1755.zip Quote

Yank0500 Posted June 5, 2020 Author Posted June 5, 2020 OK, so this is an operation that has to happen outside of unraid if I'm understanding what I found correctly. Without another OS on this system, I'm at a bit of a loss on how to remove this type 2 protection. Guess I might have to crack open the internet more and do some learning on this later... Quote

Yank0500 Posted June 7, 2020 Author Posted June 7, 2020 Oh wow duh. Totally forgot this is built on linux. Thanks! That did the trick for me. Currently formatting all 12 SAS drives. Looking forward to getting this up and running! Quote
