Win10 VM w/GT710 Error

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I can't get my Win10 VM working with my only GPU installed in mobo being PNY GT710.

This errror shows in the VM log

And I also noticed this error in my system log when booting:

My Unraid install is brand new with only setting changed are PCIe ACS to Both and running the VFIO-PCI CFG plugin to pass one onboard USB host controller to VM successfully on VNC.

Here is the Win10 VM XML:

So I added a GTX 1050 Ti 4GB as my primary GPU and moved my GT 710 to the secondary PCIe slot and it works as is.

Obviously that's not a solution for primary GPU but then I found this. So I will call it solved.

Thanks again to spaceinvader one: How to easily passthough a Nvidia GPU as primary without dumping your own vbios! in KVM unRAID
