snowmangoh
I have an array of five 3TB (very full) data disks. I was just about to order two 8TB drives to upgrade the parity and one of the data disks. Disk 4 is busted and currently being emulated. Am I going to have to order a 3TB drive to recover to before I upgrade the parity and data disk? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
You can use the parity swap procedure. Quote Link to comment

snowmangoh
Ah! I get it now... since I am not "rebuilding" the parity, but copying it from the old one, the data will persist... Thanks for kicking my brain... Thanks!! Quote Link to comment
