DivideBy0 Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) So I have this fairly new shucked drive, a Seagate model ST8000DM004-2CX188_ZCT0XNHE. I used it as my Time Machine backup in my Mac and it worked perfect. As soon as I plugged it into my Unraid I get this stupid 187 error and after my research couldn't find anything to fix this. For a fact I know the drive is good as I run several windows test on it, e.g. HD Tune Pro, Crystal and even the Seagate extended advanced tool and none of these tools find anything wrong with this drive. So why is Unraid giving me this error. I have 7 more of the same model and they all work fine and no error on the others. What gives? nas-unraid-diagnostics-20200609-1739.zip Edited June 9, 2020 by johnwhicker Quote
JorgeB Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 It's just a warning that there were previous SMART issues, doesn't mean the drive is currently not good, but a good idea to run an extended SMART test and also keep an eye on that attribute. 1 Quote
