GPU Passthrough crashing Unraid

Recommended Posts

Gigabyte RTX2060, system is Threadripper 3970x

When i enable the GPU and start up the VM in question (Windows 10) it crash's unraid. I did attempt to load the VBIOS straight from tech power up, no change. I also attempted to remove the header like spaceinvaderone shows, also no change. I also changed out the GPU entirely with same model, no change, and i tried different PCIE ports, no change.

Update, i got a Quadro 410 and put it in the primary slot, put my 2060 in the secondary 16x slot. Booted and unraid saw the 410 as the primary card. Loaded the 2060 as secondary drive, and it still crashed when i started the VM.

Edit: I tested both the 410 and the 2060 in a seperate system and both are running properly.

Edit 2: After lots of troubleshooting, it still wont boot but at least its not crashing the unraid now. Syslogs and VM logs are not really showing anything that i find useful for why its not working. Still the VM works fine if i use VNC. Also if i try to passthrough the Quadro 410, it will crash like it did with just the 2060.
