No worries, glad it is working for you now.

You may also want to try and set the unRAID server as the local master.  It may make it show up in Explorer without you needed to type \\tower.

Yeah I was also in that situation transferring from my DNS-323 @ 4-6MB/s. I ended up stopping it and connecting the disks directly to the unraid server and using SNAP.

I have a similar problem, I can see tower in Explorer but it won't let me make directories.  I tried making Shares on Tower using the configuration utility.  No shares were made.  Any ideas?

Your file system might have been mounted as read-only.

Please attach a copy of your system log to your next post.  Also, tell us what version of unRAID you are using.

Version 4.6, Basic

Syslog attached.  Thanks in advance for the help!

syslog.txt

After scrolling through the syslog it does appear it has mounted as read only after an error:

Jan  8 10:54:41 Tower kernel: REISERFS error (device md2): reiserfs-2025 reiserfs_cache_bitmap_metadata: bitmap block 244187136 is corrupted: first bit must be 1

Do I need to go through preclear again?

No, it has NOTHING to do with the disk, it has to do with the file-system on the disk.  Do NOT clear it again or you'll lose the data on it.

Simply follow the instructions as given in the wiki on both of those data drives.

See here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Check_Disk_Filesystems

Question?  Are you stopping the array prior to powering down?  It would seem to have taken an extraordinary event to make both of your file systems corrupted.

You might want to perform a memory test, just to make sure it is not the cause.

Joe L.

Joe, thanks, searched and found those directions, works now.  Had a power failure during install, thought nothing of it.

Thanks for the quick response!

Best,

Jay
