June 17, 20206 yr Hello new here and I been running unraid for the last 8 months until recently I been noticing this error. I been getting a segfault error in my system log and don't know if its cause for concern. I posted this on on the reddit unraid page. I had two cached drives set up on raid 0(it was a dumb move but was working fine so i didnt want to mess with it). About two weeks ago one of the cached drives was on its way out so I was able to back up all my stuff from the cached drive.Took the bad drive out reformatted the single drive to xfs. June 17, 20206 yr Community Expert Start here, you're overclocking the RAM for the installed CPU, and that's a known source of problems with Ryzen.
September 14, 20205 yr Author I think I have found my main issue. I just learned about memtest when looking for similar problem. I ran it and right of the bat I had error. I removed one of the two stick and again errors as soon as I began the test. Now I am running with the the first stick I removed and no errors so far. I will be running it all night and see how it goes. Oh yea, the Sticks are not even a year old. Going to try and RMA it from gskill. Edited September 14, 20205 yr by dannygt99
September 14, 20205 yr I hope it is not a 2 sticks kit you bought. They might want them both back in the RMA.
September 28, 20205 yr Author Just wanted to give an update. After removing the bad ram my system has been stabled again. No more segfault errors. I was able to get an RMA on the one bad stick. I have already ran the new stick in memtest for 24hrs and no errors reported.
