Ubuntu 20.04 Installation

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am trying to install an Ubuntu 20.04 virtual machine. I cant get past the ubuntu logo. It scans the disk and has a spinny ubutu logo. I ran it for 10 hours last night but it doesnt go any further. If I press an arrow key it brings up a console that shows me whats going on. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I installed ubuntu 20.04 a couple of days ago and checking the setting they seem exactly the same! albeit on an intel platform with -

ubuntu-20.04-live-server-amd64.iso

Have you tried a new machine completely?

I deleted the VM for the third time and this time it worked. I dont know why but problem solved.

I have had this problem with a few different version of Ubuntu desktop, it just seems to stop. If I leave the CPU as 1 core and the first core available for install I have had more luck. Although it is slower. I then change it later.
