I have an array with 5 disks and a parity, all of them appear to be working.

I am doing all the transferring from windows

When transferring files internally (from download folder to plex folder for example) i will get full 100MB/s for a few second but it will soon drop and it keeps dropping until 0 bytes/s for a few seconds, spikes back up to 100MB/s then slowly goes back down to 0 again. this makes transfers that sometimes should only take 5 minutes take over half an hour. Is this a common issue, and what information should i give to get help

These 2 statements are contradicting, unless the windows you are referring to is a VM on your Unraid server. Are you transferring over the network and back or not?
