I am wondering which board I should buy, and I simply don't know how to find a board that is

 

1) unRaid compatible 

2) supports two Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 8x SATA controller cards 

3) available in Central Europe (Austria/Germany) 

 

Any help is welcome and heavily appreciated.

After quite a while of research I've found what I was searching for - or, at last, I think so:

That board should satisfy my needs.

 

Any remarks?

Only 5 SATA ports is a downer, but otherwise it looks like a good board.  If you are striving for a 20 drive build, then that single missing port won't matter anyway.

Thank you, yes, indeed I've ordered two 8-port SATA cards, so 8+8+5 sums up to 21... which is right now the maximum of supported drives - and, well, quite enough for my needs ;-)

 

If this beast ever get's full I'm sure there are much bigger drives available - and supported by unRaid ...
