June 22, 20206 yr I have an unraid (6.8.3) with 4x8TB, no cache and use a small SSD via "Unassigned Devices" for Docker (appdata). My Hardware has no option for an additional device. Now I want to use a new SSD as Cache and Docker (appdata). So I think I have to 1. Move the current Dockers (appdata) to the array. What's the best way to do that? 2. Replace unassigned SSD with new SSD configured as cache device 3. Move Docker (appdata) from array to cache Drive. What's the best way to do that? Am I right here? Could someone give me recommendations for steps 1 and 3? Edited June 22, 20206 yr by Toskache [SOLVED]
June 22, 20206 yr Author I managed it by myself: Moved the current Dockers (appdata) to the array Disable Docker Create standard appdata-share Copy all files from "old" appdata folder Enable Docker Reconfigure all appdata-paths of all Dockers Stoped the array, removed unassigned SSD, enable new SSD configured as cache device Start the array and configured shares to use the cache. Used "Prefer" for the share "appdata". I think, its working.
