June 23, 20206 yr I had a power outage and one thing led to another. I can't get the VM to boot up anymore. Please help. I did some changes to try to get it running but I can't tell anymore if I'm worse or better off. Please help tebstower-diagnostics-20200623-1751.zip

June 24, 20206 yr I'm not an expert with this, but it looks like you have a couple other sata controllers available on your motherboard. I'd try plugging whichever drive you want to pass through to the VM on a separate controller so you can avoid the IOMMU grouping problem.

I was removing and adding things till Unraid became a veggie. Thank god for the forums and gave me a way to recover using old config and files in the root dir. Anyway. I recovered and got those nasty "cannot reset device" to go away but still no dice. Now i do not have an obvious error to go with in the vm logs. I'm uploading a new set of diags. to fish for suggestions tebstower-diagnostics-20200624-1950.zip
June 25, 20206 yr Author @hiptoss Thanks for getting back after a few reboots where i'm sure i'm not bricking my setup! I noticed my "drive" i guess image of the vm wasn't mounted. I was basically getting a blank screen when i start the VM. I thought it would give me a "feed me" message. Anyway, when i saw that the 'cache drive' was not mounted i checked automount to be on and manually mounted it. Still didnt' work. I remember that the cache was initially part of the array why would it be unmounted at boot up. I stopped the array and i saw that it was missing in the main screen. I added it and boom it worked. Man. I need a UPS so i don't drop this power unexpectedly. Thanks for the talk. It was driving me crazy. tebstower-diagnostics-20200624-2027.zip Edited June 25, 20206 yr by esteban uploading all ok logs
June 25, 20206 yr I didn't do anything to help, but I'm happy to hear you got it all sorted. Make sure to save all of your configs now I'd recommend installing the CA backup/restore app and getting all of your configs to a data drive in case you have to go through this nightmare again. Good luck!
