New CPU & motherboard

Featured Replies

Hi quick question/query. will be replacing my aging intel g4560 dual core and motherboard very soon to something newer from intel 6 or 8 core as i want to start running a few VM's, i cuurently only really use my unraid for plex and use the onbaord igpu on the processor for transcoding and been working great with the go file and docker being modified. Will it be just as simple of replacing baord and cpu and powering up and my plex will still work as before. Many thanks for any help. Stay safe

Yes, if you do not change the array disk configuration and are not running any VMs with hardware pass through.

I've done that many times and as recently as three months ago when I upgraded my server with new motherboard, CPU and RAM.
