January 8, 201115 yr So I'm dusting off my old raid card (4 ports, PCI-E 4x) with the intent of using it in my unraid box in JBOD mode as I've run out of ports on my motherboard. When I first looked into this I saw few results... and those few results were mixed. That was some time ago so I'm setting out to do my own experimentation. I have a new 2TB WD Green that just showed up today and am currently running preclear on it. Once that is done, what else should I throw at it to ensure it will play nice with my system? I plan to dump a bunch of data on it and check CRC using TeraCopy. Anything else people recommend? I'd much rather use it if it'll work nice as my next alternative is the proven, but much slower Promise TX4 PCI.
