Calpulz Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 Hi, So i am in the process of setting up a gaming VM. But i have an issue that i cant seem to fix. With machine type set to Q35 my vm crashes during benchmarking at random points but is never able to complete the benchmark. However if i use i440fx machine type the benchmark runs fine and doesn't crash. Although nvidia control panel reports the bus speed as just PCIE express. On the Q35 machine type i put in the patch so that the bus speed is reported correctly as PCIe Gen 3 x16. My setup is as follows: Unraid 6.9.0-beta22 CPU: Threadripper 1920x GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070 super MOBO: Asus Prime X399-a RAM: 4x8GB 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz NVME boot drive Here is my Q35 template using 4.1. The latest version 5.0 doesn't seem to make a difference so i tried downgrading to 4.2 and also tried 4.1. <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <domain type='kvm' id='7'
