July 2, 20206 yr UnRAID is priced as to how many storage devices you have in your server, that's fine, but what classes as a storage device? In my current setup I have an LSI 9300 with 8 drives attached in a JBOD config. Does that count as 1 storage device, or 8 or 9?
July 2, 20206 yr 8 All storage devices (hard drives, DVD-R's, flash drives (excluding the boot device) count.

The official website is not really conclusive about this. It doesn't say what counts exactly as storage device. When you go to Tools -> Registration, it will tell how many attached storage devices Unraid counts for. Edited July 3, 20206 yr by bonienl

February 3, 20242 yr I can confirm that ODD do not count towards the license limit on 6.12. ODD will not show up under list of devices, nor will be discovered by Unassigned device (at least for SATA, didn' try USB). You can check if ODD is detected by sending following console command: lsscsi -g Also, in order to pass ODD to container, you will likely have to adjust permissions. This comment explains how to do it for beginners:
