HI all, My name is Darren, I'm a new Unraid server builder , I am trying to decide on a motherboard and have been offered this at a OK price - 

 

Supermicro X10DRH-C

 

I am not overly savvy with IT skills, but wondered if there was anything I should know before ordering, i.e - is unraid going to work on basically any E5 2000 V3 series CPU motherboard ? The one I am looking at has the following specs -

thanks very much for the reply. 

Yes I was wondering about the SAS card being LSI 3108. 

If I decided to get this board anyway as I have opportunity at a decent price, could I just use a PCI to SATA raid card and flash it ?

Or could this 3108 be flashed ?

i don't know, a quick google shows that you can switch HBA mode in card BIOS, but i don't know if and how it works then..

Yes, i have some IBM 1015 - it needs cross-flashed to IT mode. but be careful with cards from china, it's a big chance you will get fake card..
