Plex/CPU Going Nuts After Power Failure x2

In past posts on reddit, I stated how we had a power failure before I got my UPS on my server, then the UPS I grabbed failed (it was older).

After the first failure, I had to format cache drive and start my appdata over because I didn't have a backup. I started backing up right after that and have a number of clean files (I do this nightly now). Everything-plex, dockers-was working well at this point.

After the second power failure, the cache drive showed no errors. I rebooted the server but we started noticing Plex issues. It started with pixelation, shearing, and now some of the 1080p or HD files won't even play without freezing, stuttering, etc.

I checked the CPU usage and it's off the charts when Plex is running, but this was never a problem before. We've had 3 people watching my Plex DB at once and never had quality issues with anyone.

Here are the specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67GHz
  • MOBO: Intel DP55WG
  • Memory: 8g DDR3

I know these are older, but, as I've said I've been on Unraid for 4-5 months now and we're JUST having these problems after the power failures.

Here's what I've tried:

  • Set up /Downloads, /appdata, /domains, /system as prefer cache and ran mover to get all other files off cache
  • Deleted Plex docker, then restored from the earliest and cleanest backup using Backup and Restore plugin. Reinstalled Plex
  • SMART checks on all the HDDs - all good
  • Tips and Tweaks plugin, following the advice here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/58855-regular-out-of-memory-problems/ (After this, it now just errors and says server isn't powerful enough)

I'm wondering what the best course of action is here to return to our successful use before?

I'm attaching diagnostics, too.

Thanks in advance!
