    Sorry if this has been posted before but I could not find a specific answer on this. I currently have two 1.5tb drives that I am going to put in my new unraid box that I am super excited about. These two drives are going to be the data drives where I am going to buy a new 2tb drive for parity. The two data drives are full right now. Is it possible to start the array with the 2tb drive and migrate one drive to it and then add the drive format it and then migrate the other drive to it and then move the data from the 2tb drive and have it as the parity. I do not want to buy two new drives at the moment. Thanks in advance

Yes. At the end when you are ready to make the 2TB drive a parity drive, you have to initconfig, define both other drives as data and the 2TB as parity. Parity calc will be kicked in then.
