I have tried everything I could find online to fix this build. This setup has given me issues since the beginning. Initially I had been using 2x G.Skill Value 8GB (2666) memory, but started having crashes. Tried swapping for the Hynix RAM, but the issue persists. When a crash occurs, there is no way to communicate with Unraid. WebGUI, terminal, and SSH are all nonresponsive. The case is still powered on and I have to do a hard reboot every time.

Currently, with the array started and running no containers or VM’s, the server is working properly as a NAS. Data can be written to and from the drives.

My problems started with Krusader when I used it to initially transfer data to the array. After about an hour the system would crash. I swapped out the (RAM G.Skill->Hynix) and changed some cache hardware and settings around and was finally able to transfer everything.

The second issue I had was with any PLEX container. Everything would work fine until the first library scan. The system would crash during that time and I would need to do a hard reboot. I have since moved PLEX to an Ubuntu VM that looks much more stable, but will still cause the system to crash after a few hours.

I have set up NZBget and Sonarr containers. After starting them, I have about 30 minutes before a crash.

CPU and RAM are never pegged before a crash.

I have tried:

Disabling global C-States.

Changed Power Supply Idle Control to typical current idle.

Adding “rcu_nocbs=0-11” in syslinux config.

OS Flash drive in USB 2.0 port.

Have run through troubleshooting from this post: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/94322-unraid-is-freezingcrashing-constantly-on-a-ryzen-system-help/

I have gone through SpaceInvader's tutorials for anything relevant to my system.

My end goal is to run PLEX, media grabbing containers, and a WIN10 VM for some light gaming.

The consistency of the crashes leads me to believe this is a hardware issue, but everything is brand new (except the RAM and parity drive), however it was still crashing before adding the older hardware. It is also stable with no containers or VM's running.

I’m on the trial period right now and would really like this to work. Any thoughts? I can provide additional details that I didn’t think about if needed.

Update: Crashed under no load after 30 hours uptime. Had array started with no applications. Everything unresponsive. Needed hard reboot.

Anyone? Ready to start shopping for an Intel CPU/mobo.

Try running memtest for a few passes (24 hours to be safe). if that passes then try booting unraid in safemode and see if it continues

This symptoms seems interesting, a member have similar config. ( x570 with Ryzen 3xxx ) also crash. You state if no VM no docker then system run properly......

Could you try tune some BIOS parameters i.e. SMT, AMD-V etc , like 1st gen Ryzen need a magic - disable C6 state.
