LongSteve Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Hi, I have 2 Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 graphics cards in my workstation that I use exclusively for VMs (I have 1080Ti as my primary display). I swap between VMs a lot, and have 14 defined, so I have to occasionally swap the GPU assignments if running two at the same time. In the VM edit screen, the graphics cards have their PCI IDs next to them, so I can tell the two cards apart. In the main VMS tab of the UI though, under the Graphics column, they all have the same name and I can't tell VM is attached to which card. Can anyone think of a way to change the VMS tab to include the PCI ID for the graphics cards? Or is there a way to modify the device name at the system level, so they could be named slightly differently (in my case, top and bottom could differentiate the PCI slots for example). Cheers, Steve Quote
eschultz Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Thanks for reporting this Steve. I've improved the VMs page to now include the PCI ID, when the name would otherwise be ambiguous, next to the assigned graphics cards. It'll be included in the next 6.9.0 beta release. 2 Quote
LongSteve Posted August 31, 2020 Author Posted August 31, 2020 Awesome, many thanks for this. I'll check out the beta as soon as I can. Quote
