July 15, 20205 yr Hi all, I recently started using Unraid and it looks like my current motherboard (Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 6.0) doesnt have the option to enable IOMMU. Id like to enable GPU pass though so I can stream some games from a VM. As this is the case I'm looking at grabbing a new motherboard with IOMMU support, however I cant seem to find any that are Micro ATX. I'm using an AM3+ AMD FX 8350. Any suggestions?
September 21, 20205 yr Author For anyone interested I was only able to find one motherboard that supports IOMMU that is AM3+, Micro ATX. The ASRock 970M Pro3 https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970M Pro3/. I managed to pick one up on Ebay and so far its working great. One thing to note is if you are using a FX Chip that has a power draw of 125W like the FX 8350 then you may want to have something cooling the VRM's as this board's VRM's get toasty when using a 125W chip https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970M Pro3/#CPU. I used a fan from the AMD stock cooler on the VRM's.
