I'm currently planing on building myself an NAS. That being the case I wanted to try out Unraid. So far I really like it because of it's user friendliness and how easy it is getting started.

But one thing is bothering me and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. For testing purpose I'm using my old Desktop PC. The hardware is not really up to date but still seems to do it's job. I'm planning on buying new hardware in the next weeks.

I have a 12 TB HDD (new) and using an old 120GB SSD as a cache drive.

If I'm moving some files from my windows PC I get about 80 MB/s

But while moving a single test file from my MacBook I get about 15 MB/s

Really slow. In both cases the Cache is being used.

I attached a diagnostic file created while I transferred a 10 GB test file from my MacBook.

There are some known issues with Macs and SMB, I'm not a Mac user, but if you search the forum or even google you might find some things that help.
