GPU passthrough problem / question - NO video output

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am in the middle of troubleshooting a no video output problem on a GPU passthrough for a windows VM.  Using the same settings on the VM, the GPU passthrough works properly with a GTX 1070ti, but I'm not getting a video output with a GTX 660.  I dumped both BIOS files from GPU-Z in windows and modified them as shown on the spaceinvader one instructional videos.

Does this mean certain video cards are just not compatible and will not passthrough to a VM in Unraid?

Yes. Pass through capability can't be assumed.

GTX 1650 should work. You should attach diagnostics. Tools -> Diagnostics -> attach full zip file.

Got a Quadro K400 to work.  So far my experience with Unraid issues have all been "if it doesn't work, get new/different hardware"  lol.

I wanted to get a card working that wasn't the 1070ti so I'm good now...

Check out the link in my sig - I've written up a cheatsheet of sorts to help with this kind of thing.
