July 16, 20205 yr I have a drive in my array that has some reported uncorrected errors. It passes an extended smart test and the value representing the errors has not changed in about a week. I have a parity check coming up in about a week and I am wondering what will happen. I assume the parity check will fail but will the drives data be emulated by the parity drive forcing me to replace it? I want to replace it but just don't have the $$ at the moment since being laid off since March due to covid. https://imgur.com/a/ULSNTF6
July 17, 20205 yr Post a diagnostics file for the gurus to look at. To confirm the drive is currently disabled and being emulated? I have a drive that had the same issue and has not changed so it could be a one off. When I had this issue I just hit clear disk stats so I could see right away if the drive changed.
