July 18, 20205 yr I have been using a mod from unix_like he has managed to modify the pwm signal. I have been running my server for over a week and have had no problems. My server now doesn't sound like a Boeing 747. The mod just basically cuts off the PWM signal from server so you feed in your own pwm with a standard arduino. He made software that takes temps from iLO and calculates its own fan speeds and sends it to the arduino. So basically the mod hooks up to an arduino that can be plugged into the servers internal usb (atleast on g8, idk if other gens have internal usb ports) My Spec is Cpu e5 2420 12gb of ram H220 raid card 12 hard drives difference sizes (25tb in total) Got 6 dockers running and a win 7 vm. (Couldn't find a win 10 key) Win 7 vm has got 4 cores and 4gb of ram and cpu is round 40c. The mod i have installed is version 1 he has managed to make a version 2 of the mod which is alot easier to install. More information of the mod can be found below. July 18, 20205 yr If you were having fan problems, did you do the usual of checking out iLO's status, seeing if there were updates to be applied, and figure out if you had any non-standard gear in there that was causing problems?

Yeah I checked the ilos. I updated the ilos and the bios. I figured out that the H220 was sending my fans to ramp up to 100%. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
July 18, 20205 yr that's bizarre. I guess H220's are weird compared to H240's, as my H240 works perfectly fine in mine.
