[6.8.3] no logout button / unable to logout

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I recently did a fresh install of Unraid 6.8.3 on a new Samsung usb drive. However, the logout button is missing and I cannot logout. Even if I manually go to "http://ServerIPAdress/logout", I could still go to "http://ServerIPAdress/Main" without logging in. My old Unraid system is also on 6.8.3 but was upgraded from earlier versions behaved normally, and redirects to login page after pressing the logout button. I have tried this on different browsers, including Firefox, Waterfox, Firefox Developer Edition, Chromium and Chrome. All with the same result: new Unraid cannot log out, old Unraid behaves normally. I also tried using host name instead of server IP, same result. I can't think of why this is the case, please help. I have attached screenshots and diagnostics.

Do you have a root password on this server?

Yes, I do have a password for this server. With this problem, I can bypass the password on any browser that have been logged in once. I can still go to "http://ServerIPAdress/login" and log in normally, but when you go to other pages it just goes there instead of redirecting to the login page.

Looks like its not available in the trial mode??

I'm not a developer, but I am thinking maybe the code for the button would be part of this nav-user block above the terminalButton?

EDIT: I had set the root password earlier (during the initial setup) so I had a root password, but no logout button. When I went to the users tab and selected root, then set the password again it seemed to work and the button showed up.
