Degrading parity build

Featured Replies

I have recently added dual parity drives into my array. Things start off good running around 100MB/s but then after a few hours things tank down to 10MB/s or lower with a build time of weeks. have dug around but not seeing anything major that is running pulling resources.

And now we are back up to acceptable speeds?

It might be worth installing the DiskSpeed docker to see if any of your drives have a ‘slow’ patch.

parity check would also slow down significantly if there is any reading/writing of files on the array at the same time.

will grab diskspeed and check. I have paused all of my file transfers too and from for the time being trying to get it to speed up.

I would expect around a day or day and a half to complete 10TB parity but not weeks.
