Ok, so I don't know where to begin. I had a server running. Dual xeon x5675 (which I have for free if someone wants them... the board died) that just took alot of power. I switched the board out for one with a i7-3770 but it didnt have enough sata ports for my current config (needed 6 had 4). I messed around and got it working the wrong way and lost the 2 drives from the config. I got the data back by switching back to the old board and using the drives through unassigned devices. I wanted to switch back to the i7 tho and tried to remove my cache drive from the system. I didnt do enough research i was trying to move everything off of the cache and let me delete it but instead set every share to use the cache. Not really sure but it was stable all tho loud and power hungry with the old board. I decided then my shares would be left to be cleaned up at a later day. 1.5 years later the supermicro board let out the magic smoke. Now i have a 3700x in a x570 tuf gaming and its humming nicely. Everything just worked when I transferred the hardware. It was beautiful. Then I thought im going to fix this cache issue finally. Well using krusader to move files per "fix common issues" recommendation, so sending appdata from disk 1 to cache and plex data from cache to disk1. Well I dont know what i did but for my movies folder it still exists. the sub folders exist... but non of the files are showing up. And for more then just movies... I lost work information and programs ive written. Luckily I realized I had fubar'd big time before I lost the family pics folder. I can handle my boss mad but the wife is another story. Im not sure what info is pertenet or what else you might need to ask to figure out what I may have done. But can someone help me please?
