stepmback Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) I was messing around with Plex and for some reason my server locked up and went offline. I had to do a hard shutdown. I brought the server back up and everything seemed fine except I noticed it is now doing a parity check. I did not start one, it just did it automatically. My scheduled parity is set for 8/1. Should I just let it run or should I stop it? Not sure if related but about an hour before the shutdown I changed out the RAM in my server.. went from 8GB to 32GB with all sticks ECC unbuffered. I had 8GB ECC unbuffered before. I am running version 6.8.3 Edited July 22, 2020 by stepmback Quote
RyanNYC Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 Anytime you do a hard shut down the server should do a parity check on reboot... Quote
stepmback Posted July 22, 2020 Author Posted July 22, 2020 I am letting it run. So far so good. Looks like it will finish in the am. Quote
