[SOLVED] USB failed, generated new usb will not get ip

Featured Replies

Hi, i had my USB drive showing signs of failure. I managed to take a backup with ca backup to the array. And managed to take a copy of config dir of the usb drive to a local drive just before the drive stopped working.

I got a new 32gb sandisk usb drive and used Unraid.USB.Creator.Win32-1.6 to make a new image on the new usb key. Have not restored the backup yet (as backup was on array) so trying to boot with a new unraid image before setting cofig again.

The server boots to prompt. but it will not get a ip from my dhcp. it will only show a 169.x.x.x adress.  It gives errors of bond0 not found. But else i cant see whats wrong.

Shouldnt i get to boot it and get the web config online without doing anything?

seems i fixed my problem. When using the downloaded tool from unraid to generate new usb boot disk that didnt work for some reason. I tried with several different usb disks i had here. the boot disk didnt get mounted. I went out and bought 2 new different usb disks and still didnt work. When i did the steps manualy it worked like a charm. Just copied the config files from the backup and set the disk config again. fixed....peh.
